HOTELS For Campania Itinerary #1- Sorrento

We can book over 20 3-5* Hotels in Sorrento for you, here is just an example of a few of our best available:

Grand Hotel La Pace

The first hotel I’m going to tell you about is the Grand Hotel La Pace. This 5* Hotel is a beautiful building that combines luxury from the past with modern amenities from today. The hotel claims that when you first step into the lobby, you might feel you’ve been transported back to the 20th Century, due to the beautiful stone and marble that makes up the hotel. The hotel is in a quiet position, not far from the centre of Sorrento.

There are 4 main types of room: Economy double Room, Standard Double Room, Sea View Double Room and the Triple Room, plus the 2 types of  suites found on the Executive Floor: Suite Sea View or Suite Honeymoon.

All rooms have air conditioning, a minibar, a private bathroom , phone , internet on payment, wardrobe with safe, television and a  table. The suites also come with a jacuzzi.

The hotel has a restaurant that offers 3 meals during set time slots, a  snack bar by the pool and a 24 hour bar as well. There is also a pool, a spa and a gym.

Hotel Minerva

Our second hotel, Htel Minerva is a charming 4* hotel just a footpath away from the Temple of the Goddess.

There are 63 rooms 52 of which have Sea- Views. They all come with private bathrooms, air-conditioning, a mini-bar and personalized safe, satellite TV, wireless internet access and telephones. The rooms are furnished in a unique Mediterranean style and each room is different.

The hotel also has a terrace, restaurant, swimming pool and garage. It can be reached by foot from the centre of Sorrento; a pleasant walk of about ten minutes with wonderful views the entire way.

The hotel has a restaurant which serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. If you want to eat their wonderful dinner however, make sure you bring more than one pair of trousers as shorts are not allowed (my dad made that mistake last summer). All food and drink is locally sourced and they specialise in Limoncello.

The hotel also holds a bar which offers a wide selection of drinks and cocktails for relaxing in the lounges or on the terrace. Almost every night you can drink whilst listening to live piano or a mandolin.

Situated on the roof of the hotel is a stunning swimming pool overlooking not just the Bay of Naples but the island of Capri and Ischia as well as the magnificent Mount Vesuvius along with Pompeii and Herculaneum.

The Solarium below also allows you tan in the sun or simply relax with a cool drink and some friends under the green pergola.

Grand Hotel La Favorita
Our final hotel of the day is the 4* Grand Hotel La Favorita. A bit of a big-headed name I agree but it is beautiful.
Surrounded by lush Mediterranean gardens this hotel is situated in the heart of the historical centre, only a few steps away from the terraces of  Sorrento this hotel offers spectacular views of the bay of Naples and the Sorrentine Peninsular. The hotel also has it’s very own garden terrace.
The hotel has 85 rooms all of which are fully soundproofed and come with air conditioning, a flat screen TV, mini bar and safe, as well as wireless connection.  Bathrooms come with either a shower, cubicle or bath tub. And there are also rooms available for less able guests. There are 3 main types of room: Double Room Classic, Deluxe Double Room and Superior Double Room. As well as 5 Junior Suites that come with whirlpool baths and balconies on the 3rd floor.
Food wise the hotel has an indoor restaurant, a terrace, a snack bar called the ‘Bellavista’ and a cool cocktail bar as well as the O’ Parrucchiano “La Favorita” which is located 250m away in the centre of the city.
The hotel also has a beautiful pool area over looking Sorrento and its beautiful surroundings including Vesuvius.
So thanks for reading and if you are interested in any of the hotels above or just the area (we have about 20 other hotels on offer) check out our website to book your holiday:
